Singer/songwriter CATHY DENNIS is to make a return to the spotlight after forming a new band called SEXCASSETTES.
The star gave up her own singing career after releasing her third album in 1996 - choosing instead to write hits for other artists.
Dennis achieved major international success in her songwriting career - penning Kylie Minogue's 1999 hit single Can't get You Out Of My Head and winning a Grammy Award for Britney Spears' Toxic.
But now the 39-year-old is planning her own comeback with a new girl group and a new album scheduled for later this year (08).
She says, "We're called the Sexcassettes and there's four of us. It's more of a live band thing and gives me the opportunity to write songs I couldn't get away with for other artists."
